Today we are going to be checking out the latest installment in the Mega Man series, Mega Man 10. This is the follow-up to the old-school throwback sequel Mega Man 9. This entry in the classic franchise is looking to set a new bar by proving that gameplay is key and that these video games are no cakewalk.

@steveandhisidiot That’s because you don’t have any skill. Most games today are pretty easy and can be beat in a matter of a few tries without a high level of skill. In Mega Man and in most old school games skill was required just to beat the game.

@bigbergice you can’t deny that this is in fact an old style game. The graphics, gameplay, story, sound and just about everything doesn’t match up to current games. Lets even compare it to some newer plat-formers like splosion man. Nice cartoony but detailed graphics, fluid gameplay. No story… but… you get where im going with this?

@Chroenix The controls are stiff. And controls are important in a game like this. Mario has fluid controls, but then gives you an interesting level design. That’s what makes a game challenging. Not where you can barely jump out of the way of half the stuff on the screen, and if you did, you’d just hit something else. It’s not a challenge to beat that game, It’s a miracle.

Personally, that’s what makes it fun, the challenege. Games today ware too easy, especially shooting games. And it’s awkward to move and jump at the same time? Have you ever played a game? Ever? Or do you stay stationed while you perform an action, while you move only when you’re done? It’s called dexterity, friend. If you don’t want to play the games, fine, but don’t belittle them simply because you suck at it.

i can honestly say that megaman has terrible gameplay. Of the one’s I’ve played (2 and 9) I have found it extremely award to move and jump at the same time. A skill that is needed to get past anything. Add in trying to shoot while doing this and not taking hits? impossible. Doesn’t help that there’s a million enemies onscreen at once and stuff pops out of nowhere ti kill you. stop living in the past.
