Super Mario Galaxy 3′s New Suits
By Braydon Brockway
Super Mario has had some crazy suits throughout his career. With Super Mario Galaxy 3 being announced, what suits can we expect Nintendo to offer?
Unfortunately, the tanooki suit has met it retirement for the next couple years. It was brought back for Super Mario 3D Land and will most likely not be taking another turn in this short amount of time. But then again… who knows!
The ever-so-cute Frog suit could definitely be returning. It hasn’t been released in any other game besides Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. This retirement might have been just what Nintendo wanted for a big re-release.
The Penguin Suit is another awesome suit that has the potential to be recycled for Super Mario Galaxy 3. It was wildly popular in the Super Mario Bros Wii title, and I could definitely see Nintendo bringing it back for some water action in the galaxies.
Metal Mario has been both and enemy and a power-up. It’s very possible that he would appear as one of the two in the upcoming, Super Mario Galaxy 3. It would offer some awesome stability in a low-gravity world. Interesting concept that I am sure Nintendo is thinking about.
And finally the cape. A huge part of Super Mario Bros 3, and an awesome suit overall. It has been many many games since this amazing cape has been worn. Hopefully we will see it in the upcoming game.
Of course, Nintendo could always offer a new suit, but their ability to recycle popular suits has been very effective in the past. And let’s hope it continues to be effective in the future.
If nothing else, Nintendo will always make a Mario game, an awesome game. Never a let down in the past and never a let down in the future. Big thanks to the awesome developers, keep them coming!
