I have to do a research paper for my English class, but before I delve into the world of video gaming, I was wondering if video games have actually been around long enough to have a profound impact on history. (Emphasis on the "history" part) I can think of a million ways they have impacted society and the economy, but I really can’t think of any way they have had a historical impact yet. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
An entire industry grew out of video games (an industry that is comparable to the record/film industries). Video games and computer simulations are also used in rehabilitation and training applications (like med students performing operations on virtual patients while in school, before they are ready to practice on a real person).

A live performance for Seattle’s Marrowstone in the City program. The music was arranged by the genius Lennart Jansson (Link) and Gen Kim (myself as Ash Ketchum). I choreographed all the extra bits behind us as we play as well as sang the Halo theme, of course. The Tetris bit is a tribute to the old a capella group that did game themes. Lennart is playing an ocarina there, and I’m drumming the top of my violin. Hope you enjoy.

My personal favorite bit of music is at 3:48. Kirby FTW.
Go ahead and subscribe if you enjoy. I’ll be sure to upload my future film school projects here, starting with my Pokemon/24 mashup radio drama. You read that right.

The Legend of Zelda
Pokemon
Halo
Tetris
Kirby
Pong
Super Mario Bros.

Is it first person shooters? What positive effects do you know for certain that these games you play have on you? Do you think first person shooters could make you able to handle yourself affirmatively if you actually were put into one of these video game scenarios in life at some future time? Or,are video games just a waste of the time you have left on earth, with no real benefits at all?
I like to play action and adventure games. games like pokemon, as one of the other guys said :yeah it’s a bit kiddie, but they sure pack a lot into those games". In the ds pokemon games such as pokemon platinum there are a heap of things to do, defeat the gym leaders, train pokemon, finish the Sinnoh deck, etc, etc. and that’s just to start with.
I also like the WWE games, they are really fun, fast paced and they have a million and one possible moves. (not really). with there being almost all of favourite characters. and on the PS2/3 the graphics are great and there a heap of match types.
there are also games like age of empires where you build your civilisation and conquer theirs. these games take a couple of hours usually but a great if you fell like a mental challenge.
and also games like guitar hero if you feel like jamming
enjoy!
Classic Game Room HD reviews STALKER CALL OF PRIPYAT for PC from GSC Game World and Viva Media. This first person shooter style RPG adventure game is the sequel to the popular PC game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Play as a soldier dropped into the zone to find out what happened to 5 crashed helicopters in the future after a fiction second meltdown at Chernobyl. The zone is filled with mutants, paranormal activities, artifacts and dirtbags packed with machine guns. Fun! Plod around through the rain and complete side missions, collect weapons and buy armor and upgrades. Fans of other time consuming RPG adventures like Fallout 3 and Borderlands may want to give this game a try. While the environment in STALKER may be huge it is very bleak and kind of bland compared to some other games, but still packs a cool feel with some action and random encounters as you wander about. This CGR review of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat has gameplay from STALKER Call of Pripyat on PC showing PC game play on a gaming laptop using an ATI card playing Stalker Call of Pripyat. FPS RPG adventure game with guns! UPC 838639005871
