In your opinion, are there any major problems with online gaming or any improvements that can be made?

I’m writing a report on improving online gaming. So far I’ve got preventing people from quitting a game in the middle of it, online champions for sports games, cross-game chat for the PS3 similar to the one on the Xbox360 and a feature to be able to replay and save moments from an online game. Is there anything else you can think of to help me with this because I’m drawing blanks at the moment.
No need for dedicated severs, all that’s needed is better host selection and better matching so your not put up with a host half way round the world.
I still think the best way was Gears of War 1, sever lists. You get the game you want with no lag. If you could incorporate some sort of lobby with your friends with sever lists it would be perfect.

Online gaming possibly help depression or just make it worse?

I am diagnosed bipolar and have some sever depression episodes where I would like to end my life. I was considering online gaming because people i associate with at work play. Could this possibly help the sever depression I am going through with the right medicine and help me make friends with the people id playw ith or would this make it only worse?
it may help, so your mind could focus on something else instead of thinking depressed, well, thats just my opinion.
