While following chess games played by grandmasters game is not played till end. How to predict subsequent move?
While following historical games of chess played by grandmasters like Vishvanathan Anand it is observed they are not played till end but either settle for a draw or concede defeat after set of moves.. For average playersattimes it is difficult to guess subsequent moves and reason for ending the game abruptly. How to get these moves so that there is no other result possible than one agreed to by the players?
Many times you can find the notes from the players themselves after the game is completed and they will explain the various continuations based on the candidate moves they were considering. Also, other Grand Masters will analyze the games as well. Especially if they are from Championship matches or they see them as being very instructive.
You can find the analysis of historical games in books with collections of Grand Master games. You can find up to date analysis of recent games on chess sites like Internet Chess Club, Chess radio, Chess.com and other sites you can google.
As a suggestion to help you improve, you should try to analyze what the possible continuations would be for them to come to that conclusion and then compare their notes and other GM’s analysis to see how close you were. This can be very instructive.
Hope that helps

What techniques do video games use to evoke emotion?
The best video games– my opinion– are the ones that break the player’s protective shell. Usually, we are protected from the reality of the game. This is usually a necessary thing for the premise of the game; your typical MW2 player isn’t a trained soldier and thus needs the comfort of "this is fantasy" to be able to play the part of one.
However, many games nowadays try to grab the player by the gut. Alyx Vance comes to mind. How do you think this is done? What does it take in order to make us feel emotion for some pixels on our screens?
Good story lines, characters you can relate to, and good graphics.
Final Fantasy 7 for example. The death of a character impacted many who like that series. So much that a cheat was created to bring her back, although it doesn’t work well.
I’ve heard a rumor that the creators of the Silent Hill games are going to use psychology for their next game. It will involve the player taking a test. The test will reveal player’s fears and the game will act accordingly.
What has online gaming done to improve communication in general?
What has online gaming done to improve global communication as a whole. Not just what it has done to improve your life but the lives of others.
That’s a very loaded question. Some might say that it has devalued communication, because people act strategic instead of communicative. They don’t want to know how your day was, they want to know for how much you’ll sell your boots to them. Not even instant messenger services have that kind of problem.
Also, people can’t use non-verbal communication in games. Expressions, gestures, even things like how you look and traditions like shaking hands are a large part of communication, and they help define where exactly you stand. People are a lot more respectful to someone when talking face-to-face. Then again, you might see that as an advantage to on-line gaming. Everyone talks to each other like equals, without social position, wealth, gender or age playing a part.
Others say it’s a much more gratifying experience than, for example, using instant messenger services to chat with friends. games are all about experiencing something different, and with on-line gaming you’ll find people with similar interests.
Also, talking to a controlled avatar is much more personal than talking to just a name and a profile picture, without the actual physic interaction being a problem. People aren’t judged on their looks as much, and people listen more to what you have to say.
